    • Target architecture, phased roadmap, and a budget envelope.
    • High-level and detailed designs, including topology, addressing, routing, and security policy.
    • Independent vendor evaluation, RFP support, purchasing requirements, and design reviews with your engineers.

    Start with strategic direction, a detailed design, or both. We compare options against your requirements and document the decisions, from a new site to a multi-year refresh.

    Deliver

    Move from an approved design to a validated production change.

    • Migration sequencing, reviewed configurations, and cutover runbooks.
    • Acceptance tests, validation checkpoints, and rollback criteria.
    • Stabilization, as-built documentation, and working sessions with your team.

    We can implement our design or one developed by another team. Solutions engineers plan the change, work alongside you through the cutover, and verify the result before handover.

    Resolve

    • Evidence that separates causes from symptoms.

    We investigate the full path, including carriers and cloud providers, using packet captures, telemetry, logs, and controlled tests. Post-incident reviews focus on prevention, without assigning blame.

    Stay involved

    Keep a senior architect involved in the decisions, reviews, and changes ahead.

    • Monthly architecture reviews and quarterly roadmap sessions, with written outcomes.
    • Urgent questions acknowledged the same business day and answered by the next; design reviews within five business days.
    • Agreed priorities and a process for adding capacity when projects need more.

    A named architect learns your environment and provides agreed monthly capacity for design authority, vendor decisions, technical support, documentation, and mentoring.

    Flat monthly fee for agreed capacity over a fixed term.

    Wi-Fi 6E and 7 planning, predictive design, and onsite validation surveys for coverage, capacity, and roaming.

Our approach to the work
Do we need an assessment first?

No. We can use a recent assessment, begin with a defined problem, or establish a baseline as part of strategy or design work.

Can our team or MSP implement your design?

Yes. You receive documentation your engineers or delivery partner can build from. Implementation by Metis is a separate engagement.

Who operates the network afterward?

Your team or MSP continues operating it. Specific ongoing responsibilities can be agreed in a retainer; a NOC, 24/7 monitoring, and first-line support are outside our services.

What happens to unused retainer capacity?

Quieter months go to documentation, standards, and reviews. The agreement sets out how extra capacity is added when a project needs more.
